How to spot genuine RockGlass – RockTalk with Vince Croker

Vince Croker, Vice President of ClearSecure Manufacturing and Distribution, introduces RockGlass and explains how it differs from other polycarbonate products on the market.

The main distinction is that RockGlass is manufactured specifically for use in windows and does not contain re-grind material. According to Vince, many other polycarbonate products use re-grind, which can result in black specks and visual distortion. RockGlassis instead made from virgin beads, providing a clear appearance with no visible black dots or distortion. Its clarity is designed to closely replicate the appearance of traditional glass. Additionally, ClearSecure has invested in laser-etching equipment that marks each piece of RockGlass with identifying information like the company logo and serial number. This allows the company to track individual pieces and verify where they were manufactured.

RockGlass will be rolling out product with laser etching in late 2026. The laser-etched RockGlasslogo serves as an important mark of authenticity and quality. Customers can use the logo and identifying information to confirm that they have received genuine RockGlass. The process is intended to ensure customers receive the product and level of clarity they paid for.
